Digital Ekal mission

Ekal has taken up Digital Ekal mission to use technology and digital literacy to achieve the objectives of Ekal model. Strategically two key interventions are done under this initiative, one is adopting ICT in Ekal Vidyalaya by introducing self-learning content in tablets to use ICT as enabler for better learning outcome and other is Ekal on Wheel to take the Digital Skills at the doorstep of Rural Youth to provide them employable skills in IT.

Ekal E-Shiksha

Ekal Vidyalaya operates by dividing children in three groups based on their level of literacy, mathematics and language. Each group in a school is given one tablet each which makes a total of three tablets for one Vidyalaya

E content is curated from different sources in aligned with Ekal curriculum and pedagogy

Teachers are trained effectively on using the tablet shiksha (ICT Intervention)

Ekal on Wheels

Mobile van converted to a computer lab having 9 laptops and one big screen to showcase the demo for different topics

At a time 18 rural youth can get trained during the stay of mobile van in their village

IT skills program with a duration of three Months is offered

Successful students earn a certificate from the Spoken Tutorial, a project by IIT Mumbai

Graduates can earn up to Rs. 15,000 per month
