Naresh Kumar

Mr. Naresh Kumar is a Mechanical Engineer, a pioneer in developing Indian Pvt. Sector capabilities in Offshore Drilling for Oil & Gas, an ultra-high tech and unknown area then. He is a business leader and promoter of “Jaguar (JOL)” & “Dynamic” Groups having multiple business verticals in India & in various countries. He is actively involved in policy and advocacy on several issues related to the Indian economy and has immensely contributed through some of the path breaking interventions. He also has contributions for the drilling industry both domestically and internationally through various industry associations.

– Founder Member: Petrotech Society (largest Hydrocarbon event in SEA) & also served 4 consecutive terms as President, Petrotech Society.

– Member Invited (Former – First Asian) Executive Committee: International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) since 1940 Houston, USA. Re-elected multiple times.
Contributed as Speaker/ Faculty member in various Seminars/ Conferences (including Oil & Gas Sector) both domestically & internationally. Recipient of many recognitions & awards including International Award for The Best Trade Name in Madrid, Spain by Spanish Minister of Energy.

Mr. Ramesh Shah has been with Ekal Vidyalaya from early days of movement & instrumental in expanding the Ekal support network in USA & other countries. He has been a community resource in times of emergencies helping the community, navigate difficulties in immigration, excellence & family crises. In January 2017 Ramesh Shah had received the Pravasi Bhartiya Samman Award from President of India, the highest honour conferred on overseas Indian by the Government of India in recognition of achievements both in India & abroad.

Mr. Naresh Jain is founder of Jainco Buildcon Pvt Ltd, a well reputed name in the area of engineering solutions in the field of water supply & sewage disposal related Infrastructure development projects.
He is an entrepreneur with a passion to serve society & onboard of several education & developmental non-profit organisations including Maharaja Agrasen Technical education Society. He has been a member of Ekal Abhiyan for more than two decades & instrumental in bringing some path breaking initiatives in Ekal Abhiyan.

Mr. S.K. Jindal is a business leader who spare heads various companies under Jindal group, a well-diversified business house & one of the leading business houses in India. Mr. Jindal has been on several prestigious committees including Chairman – Investment & Capital Market committee at Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).
He is on board of several reputed social & development organisations. He has been an important member of Ekal movement for several years.
Sajjan Kumar Bhajanka

Sajjan Bhajanka is a businessperson who founded Century Plyboards (India) Ltd. and who has been at the head of 12 different companies. Presently, Mr. Bhajanka occupies the position of Executive Chairman & Co-Managing Director at Century Plyboards (India) Ltd., Chairman & Co-Managing Director at Star Cement Ltd., Chairman & Managing Director at Cement Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (a subsidiary of Star Cement Ltd.) Chairman for Indian Plywood Industries Research & Training Institute and President for Federation of Indian Plywood & Panel Industry. Mr. Bhajanka is also Chairman & President of Marwari Relief Society, President of All India Veneer Manufacturers Association, Life Member & President-School Managing Committee at Sri Sri Academy, Senior Vice President of Bharat Chamber of Commerce and Secretary for Kalyan Bharati Trust and on the board of 26 other companies.
In the past Mr. Bhajanka was President for Friends of Tribal Society, Chairman of Ekal Abhiyan Trust, Chairman for Star Cement Ltd. and Non-Executive Chairman at Star Ferro & Cement Ltd. He has been one of the initial members and volunteers of Ekal.
Jitendra Kirtilal Bhansali

Jitendra Kirtilal Bhansali, a successful diamond merchant, has lead the J.K.Bhansali group in diamonds and jewelry for over 50 years. The Family trust “The Jitendra Kirtilal Bhansali Trust” is involved in a lot of social causes uplifting many families. He is also a managing trustee of the Gem & Jewelry National Relief Foundation formed by all members of the Gems and Jewelry Industry and is involved in many national causes. He is also a very active philanthropist, who believes in giving back to society. and he is also associated with Friends of Tribals Society and Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation for many years and was also the President of the Mumbai Chapter. Besides these, he is the trustee of Mahavir Heart Foundation, Walk Together Foundation and Ashwini Kumar Medical Relief Society, all working towards upliftment of poor. Along with being directly involved with all these trusts, he has been supporting many other noble causes across the country. Today at the age of 80, he divides his time between family, business and social initiatives.

Shri Subhash Chander

Shri Subhash Chander is currently a Director, General Secretary and National Coordinator of Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of Canada. He has been a supporter of the Ekal movement for the last 16 years, ever since he came to know about this great organization and joined the board of Ekal Canada over 10 years back in 2012 and since then working very passionately with the board members, supporters and volunteers to promote Ekal’s vision in Canada.
He feels that working for Ekal has been a great privilege and a rare opportunity to serve the humanity, especially the under-privileged children of the world. EVF_Canada has a great team of selfless volunteers in now and it’s growing.
Subhash ji is a businessman, running a successful Import and Wholesale family business in Canada. Also loves to climb the high mountains for his love for the nature and has taken the Ekal Flag to the peaks of these very High Mountains like Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa.
Shri Devendra Gupta, EVF, Australia

He has done B.E. (Electronics) from SGS Institute of Technology, Indore, M. Tech. (Computer Science) from IIT Roorkee. Originally, he is from Indore, migrated to Australia in 1992. Settled in Sydney with wife and 2 daughters. Running a software company since 2000 with clients in government, telecommunications, and banking sectors. Also own childcare centres in Sydney.
Involvement with Ekal
He joined the Ekal movement in 2005 and has been an active member since then. He was the President, EVF_Australia from 2011 – 2015. His family and he has taken Vanyatras near Indore during their trips to Bharat. His wife Babita is also an active volunteer and his daughter Medhavi has been a founder member of Ekal Youth chapter in Australia.
Vision for Ekal in Australia
Starting from contribution of zero schools from Australia in 2004, the number steadily increased to 1,000 schools in around 2012. Then the numbers reduced to around 800, which is stagnant for last few years. Most of the schools are sponsored from Sydney and until recently only Sydney had an active volunteer’s team.
With the active role of Devendra ji, EVF_Australia team is now working to establish volunteer teams in other state capital cities. Adelaide has an active team since 2019. Melbourne team has been established as well in 2022. Both these teams have their own office bearers, so they take the ownership for their own chapter.
EVF_Australia is striving to build teams in Perth, Brisbane and Canberra too. Hopefully, these teams will generate awareness in these regions and raise funds to sponsor more schools.
Shri Ankur Tade, Norway

Shri Ankur Tade is originally from Sangli Maharashtra but now residing in Oslo, Norway since last 16 years, working as a software Engineer.
He had responsibility as Sewa Pramukh in Norway for last 10 years where he also undertook initative for sponsoring Ekal schools from Norway.
He also took part in various other Sewa projects. Currently holding responsibility as Secretary, Sewa International Europe. He was involved in Ukrain border Sewa. Also involved in Sewa in Ukraine as well as Turkey initative.
